I'm interested in photography's capacity to render real things into unreal images, in letting a camera be a lynchpin in a relationship of mutual and distant possession, and in slipping between angles of view, compression and expansion of space, studier and puncti, light and dark.

My background is a creative writing MFA from Cornell, writing poetry and prose, and anthropology. I'm a PhD candidate at Emory, doing ethnographic filmmaking focused on the fisheries on the Louisiana Gulf Coast. I'm also beginning as a photographer in the subgenres of art, street, editorial, and nude.

I am interested in joining Model Mayhem in order to meet like-minded artists, models, support, and others who would like to collaborate and co-conspire.
