I'm John Benton, and I shoot a variety of different styles mainly in the field of Fashion and Artistic Beauty/Glamour photography. My goal here is to look to work with models from around the country and expand my network of industry professionals to create future opportunities I would like to connect with models who are ambitious, professional, and SERIOUS about expanding their portfolios and creating unique photographs.

To ALL MODELS please read the following:

1.) I have a full-time job. This is my priority at the moment. A 30-40 hour work week every week including weekends. IF you want to shoot with me please give me 2 WEEKS NOTICE so I may properly arrange to have the time to work with you. Failure to do so will more than likely result in not shooting.

2.) I have a full-time job. This is my priority at the moment. I know I'm repeating myself from the first point, but the reason being is that if I do work with you, depending on my work schedule (which changes week to week and I do not have set hours I work every day) and the time of year (holidays, events, seasons, etc.) edits could take a while to get to you. I usually try to get most edits done in 2 weeks but that could take longer depending on my schedule. PLEASE BARE WITH ME! I do give edits as soon as I can get them done. Being frustrated or constantly contacting me about them unfortunately doesn't make the process faster. Please be patient.

3.) I will be traveling a lot and plan to visit a lot of cities so it is important that IF you do want to shoot with me and I'm in your area, please contact me ASAP so we can arrange it. Unless I state that I'm open to shoot, its safe to assume I'm booked. Timing is everything and the first to contact me takes priority.

4.) I don't put work out that I don't like and I won't give them to you if I don't. If they miss the mark for whatever reason, it is what it is. If its something that I feel I should communicate to you, I will do so privately, but for the most part 9/10 times its something I did/didn't do that made the image not live up to my own expectations.

5.) I don't give out unedited photos. This will not change. I want to give you the very BEST photos possible and something that will possibly be below that standard is unacceptable. I want you to be proud of the image that came out of the work we did, and I don't feel like that would be accomplished if a photo with you not looking your very best would be in both of our interests.

6.) This is very important. I won't take down photos off of social media b/c you don't like it for a particular reason. I know this sounds a bit harsh, but I'll explain. If we do a shoot, the most important thing is YOUR comfort. If your uncomfortable doing a shoot with a particular theme, (items or items of clothing on/off, poses, etc...) let me know before we shoot and we won't go that route. If you are, and we have done the shoot and suddenly your uncomfortable with the photo that I posted, I will NOT take it down. I feel that if we did something that you had no objections to prior to the shoot, then it should not be an issue after you have given your consent. If it exposes your body in the form of nudity or vulgarity, that is a bit more understandable and I'll work with you on that particular issue personally. If its for any other reason than that, I will not take it down.

7.) If I send you an edit and ask you not to post it, there is a reason. I like to surprise with edits sometimes so occasionally I'll hold back something really awesome to submit to magazines for publication, features, etc. Most magazines want exclusivity with their photos so if you post them on social media, they will NOT accept them so please DON'T if you'd like to possibly be published.
