A Different Lens

Life is never the same, some days you look at the tiniest of detail, other times you look at the grand design. It all depends on what you choose to focus your attention on at the time.

I find photography to mimic that philosophy. Depending on the lens, I can take the viewer on a visual trek that can explore things on a macro level... noticing a goosebump or a single hair. Or I can take a wide angle view and show just how vast the world is and how tiny we are in comparison.

But it is the light that changes the mood of an image... be it a detail shot with a short depth of field, or a landscape in full focus. The intensity of the lights and darks, the detail in the shadows or the vividness of the colors all resonate with an emotional memory.

I hope you find pieces of my work that satisfy your emotional memory. I also wish that some push your comfort levels. Sometimes that's where we discover out true selves.
