I'm a professional photographer who specializes in natural light photography, though I can hold my own in a studio.  I have an extensive portfolio that covers many genres, and I've worked both with individual clients and with large corporations.  I have a fairly diverse background, with specialties in genetics, and entomology, though photography is my primary artistic passion.

I started out with nature and insect macro photography, and slowly worked my way into doing portraiture. (People seem to pay a lot more than wild animals will).

I've managed to capitalize on the rise of social networking sites, so most of my experience with people photography is through creating higher-quality profile pictures.

I've learned much much over the years, and learn more with each shoot. I've worked with pro and amateur models alike, but if you're just getting into the scene and need some higher-quality shots to add to your new portfolio at a price less than a third of most photographers, Mantispid Photography is for you.

My current rate is $125 for a 1-hour shoot, and that includes 5 processed photos of the model's choice. Any additional photos are $10.00 each.  This includes all post-processing work.  If I have to travel far there will be an actual-cost fuel surcharge. All photos will be delivered in electronic format.

I'm not currently doing TF* work at this time (except when I travel) as I have a large backlog of TF photos currently being processed.  Paid work will always have priority over TF jobs, so if you need photos done, please contact me!
