Hey I'm Ashley and if you would like to know a little bit about my career keep reading! I have been modeling since I was 15. Coming from a small town modeling wasn't really something I could pursue while in high school and too young to know how to independently find work my career was at a stand still. That is until I was discovered on a cruise by a modeling scout who worked in the asian market. The summer after I graduated from high school. I traveled to Bangkok, Thailand and modeled for 3 months. Some of the work I am proud to say I accomplished while in Thailand includes; being featured in Cleo magazine twice, a hair magazine, and also a well known magazine that I just can't seem to remember the name of for the life of me. After Thailand and back to my small town my modeling was at a stand still again. Since Thailand I am sad to say I have only shot twice. I have a manager placed in Miami and I have recently moved to NYC to live in my favorite city and give modeling one last shot. So why am I not signed with an agency? Unfortunately I am just not the modeling measurements anymore. After 2 years off it slipped away from me. I still live a healthy lifestyle and workout often but I am not naturally built to the industry standards like most models. But I have finally decided I am no longer going to allow the industry to define whether I can model or not. I may never walk another runway but shooting is something I would love to get back in to as a hobby and as something I am truly passionate about. I am continuing to work on my measurements but my true goals are to be happy and healthy because I'm almost positive I will never have 34" hips again. I love shooting and even though I may be a little rusty at first I am confident in my modeling abilities and look. Looking for photographers who are as passionate about the art as I am and who are happy to break the industry standards because you don't need to have 34" hips to be a great model!
