My name is Sandra Valero and I am a freelance makeup artist based in Madrid, Spain. I started working as a MUA in 2005 while on a scholarship for Film Studies at the University of Liverpool, UK and I continued doing so after I returned to Spain. In 2007 I finished my Degree in Audiovisual Communication and in 2009 I completed a Master's Degree in Makeup Artistry.

I have complemented my makeup training with several courses in Special Effects, 2D Makeup and Prosthetics, from lifecasting to sculpting and creating prosthetics in different materials (foam latex, polifoam, silicon...) In September 2014 I finished a Master's Degree in Cosmetics and Dermopharmacy, and I currently work for MAC Cosmetics Travel Retail EMEA at Madrid Terminal4 Airport.

I have worked in numerous photoshoots, magazines, fashion editorials and all types of social makeup (proms, weddings, events...) although my true passion is fashion and editorial photography makeup.

I am professional and polite and I understand the importance of organization, hard work and respect while on set. I am bilingual in Spanish-English and I speak basic German, so I am able to work in international environments.
