About Me

Born and raised in the busy streets of Harlem, Devon “Pony” Webster has been dedicated to dance since the tender age of 10. Growing up in front of the television, Devon discovered his identity through soulful music and electrifying music video productions such as Michael Jackson’s Thriller and Janet Jackson’s “if”. Not only dreaming of gracing the stage with such Iconic artists but mastering his abilities through his own choreography to one day display his own iconic endowments and ideas on screen. Until the age of 15 years old, Pony entered neighborhood talent shows and local street competitions. His deep seeded passion for dance ultimately lead him to nail his first music video audition for R&B recording artist“702”. Smaller in stature and younger than all of the other professional dancers picked to dance in the video, not even professional choreographer of MTV’s “The Making of the Band”, Laurie-Anne Gibson could deny Devon’s talent when she decided to hire him. From Talent shows to competitions then from videos to tours, Pony has accomplished a great deal in the years that followed. He has choreographed for multi platinum R&B recording artist “Ashanti”, “Lil Mo”, “Shaggy”, the late hip hop star, “Big Pun”, Rap star, “Remy Martin”, and even the biggest selling female recording artist of all time, Mariah Carey… yet success doesn’t stop there. Pony has also mastered the Art of “vogue”. A form of dance that capitalizes and displays the contours of the body through enhanced flexibility and finesse. With that skill, Pony nailed a Coca Cola Zero commercial audition. Now known World wide as a Vogue legend, Pony has chosen to take Vogue to the next level by creating the first vogue Dance Company “Vogue Evolution” who will travel across the world Standing for cultural Evolution and teach vogue Classes to the public in “Vogue Theory”. Yet Passion doesn’t stop there for this 25-year-old super star. Now starting his own ballroom entertainment team (house) named " Zion". Pony is taking the industry in full force. Pony is currently the creative director and Co. choreographer for the new hip-hop dance company called “ The Urban Dance Alliance". In his solo vogue career, pony is also traveling all over the world performing at showcases such as the Brooks Brothers hair show and Sony's first Extravaganza ball in London for their new game system "sing Star". Now working with Warner Music group’s new artist “Talia Coles” choreographer, Pony is committed to changing the game of Dance Nation wide.
Zeal for dance allows Pony to embrace any obstacle relentlessly. To know Pony is to experience the essence of true art, pure hunger and the sincere appreciation thereof. Innovative styles and techniques seem to effortlessly emanate from him. Combined with God’s favor and the blessing bestowed upon him, it’s destined for the world to come to know Devon Webster’s name. In the words of the legendary dance pioneer, Alvin Alley, “Success is a process not a goal”. Keeping those words to heart, Devon Webster will continue to strive for perfection. His entrancing gifts envelope the spirit of Art and will, as they always have done, pave the way for him.
