How many people can fearlessly walk away from a six-figure marketing job in order to pursue their heart and passion? I can tell you that a lot of people dream of it, but don't have the courage to do such a thing. Everyone told me I was crazy and my company worked pretty hard to entice me to stay, but I chose to follow my heart and I have never looked back. I am head over heels in love with photography and have been since I was a kid, but I am even more passionate about living intentionally and waking up each day with purpose. I left my corporate job a few years ago and started my own business so that I could live more intentionally and do something that makes my whole heart and soul happy. I don't want to just take pretty pictures, I want to take pictures that make you feel something. My photographic style is a combination of directed and unscripted photographs that are pieced together to tell a genuine story. Up until this point, I have focused primarily on wedding and lifestyle photography, but I would love to eventually build an editorial portfolio. I am drawn to images that are emotional, soulful, and organic, and I try to emulate those feelings with my images as much as possible. While my business is slowly growing and I still have a lot to learn, I feel so grateful that I get to do something that I love and I would absolutely love to join Model Mayhem so that I can connect with other like-minded creatives who feel the exact same way! I am really hoping to find other creatives in the Seattle area that would be interested in collaborating on projects, supporting each other, and possibly working together to build our personal portfolios.
