About Me

I started my career in Photography as a professional skateboarder turned photographer/Videographer in hopes that this would keep me relevant to my sponsors. then an opportunity open up to me to head up my own east coast skateboard company. this is where I started to perfect my craft in photography, the fast pace world of skateboarding meant that I was always on my toes when the camera was in my hand. so this means most of the perfect angles are also in the worst spot if your subject has to bail which means they kick the board directly at you and more than likely you're only about 4 to 6 feet away. and then some years ago we had the financial collapse I ended up losing everything I retired from skateboarding set up the camera and try to figure out my new life. at this time I decided to start to do a lot of traveling and soul searching of course with my before mentioned camera. I notice that every trip that I took I found myself spending more and more time with the camera in my hand. part therapy part artist I found myself falling in love with Photography again. I also figured out that I knew nothing about photography at this time and skateboarding ill prepared me for the rigors of a travel photographer. so I started hitting the books and learning everything that I could even in my free time. it became somewhat of an obsession to give the shoot the best I could at any given time. skip a couple years and now this brings me to shooting a lot of pageant models musicians and up-and-coming actors but as you look at my photos you can feel and see the travel photographer in me but with the mindset of a photographer that truly understands lighting and positioning.
