Every person is beautiful, and the face is a canvas for enhancing that natural beauty and creating vibrant works of art through makeup.

My mother was a cosmetologist and so playing with makeup and hair was always a part of my life. In my adolescence I discovered a love for performing arts, and went on to perfect my skills through college, receiving my Bachelor's in Fine Arts from New York University. Throughout my varied performance career, I developed strong makeup skills for the stage and screen, and making myself up became the pre-show ritual that calmed my nerves and got me into character.

My father is a professional actor, and growing up as a teenager in Los Angeles provided me with ample opportunities to experiment with looks at numerous red carpet events that I attended with family. Most of the makeup artists and industry professionals I encountered assumed that my makeup was professionally done, and were shocked to realize I'd done it entirely myself! That's when I realized I had a real gift.

As my interest in makeup grew, I started to explore doing other people's makeup with more and more confidence. I realized that there was something magical about getting up close and personal with a person, getting to examine their most unique traits, and enhancing them with cosmetics. It was equally as magical, to transform someone completely with the use of color, light, and shadow.
