Returning to 'human photography' after many years inactivity, during which I focused mainly on travel work. I used to do regular work photographing graduating drama students for their portfolios. What attracts me as a photographer is textures and contrasts.....hair and skin....light and dark....smooth and textured...colours....the interaction of light on surface. My approach is that the taking of the photograph is merely the gathering of the raw material. The creation of the final image comes afterwards in the manipulation of the individual elements. It used to be in the darkroom....now it's in Photoshop, manipulating the elements of the original image. Any work we agree to undertake will be for my personal projects and not profit. No images will be published on any website without the model's consent and approval. However, anything we produce together can be used for personal portfolios if mutually agreed.
