Jonny Edward is a Denver-based visual artist specializing in photography and digital design. Captivated by art from a young age, Jonny was drawn to a variety of mediums starting with writing and poetry. As his creative concepts and worldly constructs evolved, he sought out means to convey his unique artistic vision in a fashion open to interpretation; coming into his own as a visual storyteller.
As a natural-born altruist and passionate proponent of serving the community, and humanity as a whole, Jonny believes that art has the ability to break down barriers, create connectivity, and nurture the heart, mind, and spirit -- both of the artist and the individual; effectively changing the world for the better. His commitment to the creative process is firmly rooted in the notion that destruction is silenced only in the shadow of creation. Stylistically, Jonny considers himself an eclectic and pledges allegiance to no specific doctrine, genre, or method. Preferring, instead, to capture and create utilizing whatever approach is best suited to the subject, situation, and circumstance. His love for travel and adventure is superseded only by his adoration for people. A pillar of his personal philosophy is that every individual is singularly unique, uniquely beautiful, and uniquely gifted; a notion evident in his commitment to capturing the sui generis essence, persona, and personality of his amazing clients. Though he enjoys exploring all aspects and facets of photography, his passion and expertise can be found in the realms of fashion, lifestyle, portraiture, and photojournalism. Jonny finds inspiration both in the organic sophistication of nature and gritty chaos of the urban jungle. His influences are vast and varied, spanning the spectrum from Leonardo da Vinci to Lindsay Adler. Available for a variety of assignments and projects, Jonny revels in the challenge of complex or demanding concepts and loves to collaboratively breathe life into esoteric ideas and visions. To him, there is no such thing as mundane; he approaches a simple portrait session with the same creative tenacity and professional zeal as a high-level editorial shoot. It's important to note that while he takes his work very seriously, the same can't be said for himself. A class clown since preschool, Jonny loves to make people laugh and it's rare to see him without a goofy smile plastered on his face. His laid back, informal approach acts like a conduit for rapport, ease, and authenticity; creating a channel through which beautiful, powerful, evocative imagery and memories can flow and be captured. I’m a full time international model with 10+ years experience & I Aim on being in your area September 9th - 13th before I head North but then might be back the last week of September.
