About Me

Donna Stevens is Brooklyn based art and fashion photographer. She creates images for the commercial and fine art world. Previously, Donna worked as an Art Director for 12 years, where she created international advertising campaigns. In revolt against these years as a commercial artist, where she created images that offered up a false promise of perfection; her work now endeavours to explore the realities of life. Fascinated with the imperfections of humanity, her work explores identity and the struggles of people and their place in the world. Since her transition into photography 5 years ago she has not looked back.
Her passion for photographing people is already being recognised. She was a finalist in
The National Portrait Prize 2014 (Australia), received the Student Bursary Award for the Nikon Australian Institute Professional Photography (AIPP) Awards 2013 and has had work published in Vanity Fair, Esquire, Vogue Italia’s PhotoVogue. Donna currently works in out of her Brooklyn and Soho studios in New York.
