My name is Kristen and I'm a Florida trained makeup artist living in Northern Minnesota. I began my career as a professional makeup artist in Anchorage, Alaska when I was 20 years old. I started out working at Bare Minerals before moving to Florida. I'd always had a passion for makeup artistry, and finally had the opportunity to attend makeup school. After touring several schools, I chose Victoria Duke's Academy of Glam, where I was taught by some of South Florida's leading makeup artists, including Victoria herself. Until then, I had been self taught, and had sought out as much information as I could from the companies I had worked for. Seeking out further training only helped me better my technique, my communication with clients, and my creativity. The training I received was invaluable. It allowed me many opportunities to work with other artists and to gain as much information and advice as I could. I assisted at Miami Swim Week and Miami fashion Week, and started freelancing again, upon graduation. I specialize in bridal and special event makeup, and have spent the last few years trying to grow and challenge myself as an artist.
