I've never been good at this type of stuff but I'm gonna give it a whirl. My names Amanda. I'm 21 years old. I'm here because I'm looking into modeling and seeing where things led me.

When I was growing up I always looked up to the Victoria Secret's Angels. Not only just them but every model in magazines, on tv and/or online. All those crazy doubtful thoughts though went through my head as I dreamed about becoming one myself. "I would never be pretty enough." "I don't have the funds for that." "My parents wouldn't approve of that." The older I was getting the more I just tucked away this thought, this dream away.

I was just the girl next door, always hanging out with my brother and his guy friends. I never had a group of girl friends growing up due to me jumping school districts for many different reasons. But the more I hung out with all the guys, the more I wanted to just throw away that dream of being a model. I started becoming a "tom boy" instead. I had dirtbikes, always wanted to get dirty, jumping my bmx bike... I could go on and on.

Going through high school I started getting more insecurities than before. With all my insecurities about my flaws and comparing myself to others. I was always so hard on myself. Always hating how I looked, talked and how I just was as a person. Looking into the mirror and seeing the same old me was getting to me.

After graduating high school, I instantly went to a technical school for dental assisting and wasted no time. I graduated that and became a surgical assistant in oral surgery. One of friends told me how beautiful I was and said that I should get into promo modeling cause I would kill it. I believed her and followed through with it. I started back in January and wouldn't trade it for anything. I started seeing maybe there will be a chance I could model and become someone special.

Working two jobs, trying to keep up with family and friends was getting hard. I was in a very rough relationship and wasn't feeling myself or even pretty. While I was still in it, I asked one of my girlfriends how to get into modeling and she showed me a few different ways. With the help of technology, I started reaching out to different photographers and doing some photoshoots.

With my personality it helps a lot with getting use too and following my dreams. I'm very independent, down to earth, ambitious, outgoing, bubbly, humble and always looking at the good in people and situations.

I'm down to try different stuff and opened to new ideas. If anyone's interested in shooting with me please do not hesitate!
