About Me

Welcome to my Dynasty
Photography started off in my senior year of high school back in 2013. I attended Edmonds Woodway high school in Edmonds, WA. I needed an art credit to graduate high school. I've been an artsy person since I was little but didn't take any classes until then. I was the kind ofperson that did not like being told what to create, which is why I had not taken an art class yet. For my art credit, I decided to take photography to graduate high school and it was the best decision of my life. In the class I used both a DSLR and a film camera. Developed techniques for shooting both landscape and on location portrait work. After I graduated I didn't do too much shooting since I didn't have my own camera. I had a love for the class but never had the idea of pursuing it as a career until the following winter when I enrolled into Edmonds Community College. I ended up taking another photography class which just focused on film. I used that class to refresh my knowledge of the camera and how to properly use it. The following quarter I took another photography class that focused just on digital but learning even more about what you are capable of doing with a camera. That quarter of school is when I got my very first camera. Just a standard Canon EOS 20D that my grandpa bought me. The very first thing I shot was one of my good friend’s softball pictures. After that, I did what every starting photographer does. I took pictures of friends, walked around the city, did some city landscape shots, bought a tripod, and did some night work and so on. All I did everyday was take pictures. As an artist the only way to get better is to create art. After playing around with my camera I had my very first portrait shoot with a client and from there my love for portrait shooting took off. As always after your first portrait session there is alot of room for improvement. To improve my skills I made the decision to move two hours east of the mountains to transfer to Central Washington University (CWU) for the fall of 2015. The plan was to obtain my degree in photography from there. That plan did not work out. CWU as a whole is a great school but when it came to the photography program, it was non existent. On the bright side I was able to make new friends and gain new faces to shoot. So instead of the goal of obtaining knowledge in photography from CWU, I took random core classes and self-taught myself for bettering my portrait work. While being away at CWU I was able to form a small Seattle clientele to keep my dreams going. One year later (2016) I am back home in Seattle. I have been able to meet amazing new people and faces and it is still just the beginning. I am currently (July 2016) a student at the Art Institute of Seattle where in a year I will have my degree through there photography program. While attending school I am keeping my business going by making connections and shooting new clients every weak. I hope this gives you a good idea of who I am and I can't wait to capture YOU on my camera!
