Hi!
Salutations! This is Michael Joseph, a 27-year-old M.S. graduate in botany from Washington State University, a current employee of a silk screen shop in Soulard, and a photographic artist based out of the greater Saint Louis area. In the spring of 2015, I attended private classes with Lyosha Svarniski at the Urbana Museum of Photography, and fell in love with photography ever since. My goal here is simple. I want to build as an incredibly diverse portfolio for both you and me as quickly, professionally, and awesomely as possible! I also want to be teaching darkroom photography at the university level as soon as I get my MFA in photography. I need the power and freedom to design my own courses, and I want to motivate an appreciation for the craft of photography to undergraduate students. I wish to teach undergraduates how photography can help them become better people and better artists. I want to take students out into the forest with analog cameras, and help them create images, and help them move towards a tangible, handcrafted print. Im super friendly, and like to work with fellow artists who are looking to create impactful images.
