Hello everyone!

My name is Sida Wang, a Canada based Photographer currently in Nancy, France. In the past few years, I found myself often attracted to the fascination of Portrait Photography, and it has been my primary focus and study area since 2013.

The DSLR camera that I am currently using is Canon 5Ds. For Medium format, I use the Hasselblad 500cxi, which is a fully manual film camera to further help me developing the sensation of lighting. I really appreciate those tools and the development of photography industry that make my presented work possible.

My understanding to photography is that it is a course of art. The process of taking a photo is similar as creating an oil painting. From an artist‘s point of view, each piece of work should has a theme, a story behind, and a soul. A photographer joins the camera, the background, the model's apparel and emotion, the highlight and shadow to create a mood and a theme, just like a painter uses brushes and colours.
