My name is James Joseph but I also go by Mr Melanin. I am originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida but have recently relocated to Los Angeles, California. I am relatively new to modeling. I've done a few fashion shows while I was still enrolled at my university in Florida. As a fitness instructor and yoga instructor as well as being a former athlete, I've done a few shoots where I've modeled relatable clothing brands for small businesses. I try to maintain my figure year around for the most part, while aiming to improve a little in certain areas.
My modelling career has not yet flourish due to a lack of exposure and myself not haven't been sure previously if modeling would be a good focus for me at the time. After a few years of being recommended and many many people urging me to try it, I've finally given it a try and now currently able to see what others saw that I did not. I am now loving the journey, and am hoping to fully expose my true potential which I've been holding back on. Modelmayhem is a great start for me to meet many wonderful photographers and other models or even directors that I can eventually work with and make some amazing stuff happen. I am open to a lot of shooting and gaining much more experience through different genres. I love fitness , sports, and almost any shoot that reveals my body structure fully. I'm looking forwards to doing more fashion shoots as well. I am not restricted to any genres. I'm excited for what the future holds and the people I'm going to be working with.
