My portfolio features simple, straightforward portraiture. I'm aiming for the perfect monochromatic image. Haven't done it yet, but I enjoy the pursuit.

I don't claim to be a pro, but it's safe to say "auto mode" is not in my vocabulary. Every image presented here was made using Nikon professional-grade equipment. Cannon is OK. It's a Ford v. Chevy thing.  😉 

The indoor sets mostly utilized soft daylight streaming through large windows. For one shoot an ordinary floor lamp was used in a pinch. Problem solved! The outdoor shots are 100% sun-kissed. My current go-to is a remote flash fired through a Rapid Box Octa.     

The models were TFP except for one. Some have extensive experience while others had none. All were thoroughly enjoyable to work with as each contributed a unique personality and style to the shoot along with invaluable conceptual assistance.

All faults and flaws in the port belong to the photographer. Kind words offered by MM members are much appreciated (thank you). Of course, the models are the true source of any success. Many thanks to each and every one of them.

Collaborative creativity is a wonderful experience. A single precious idea, lit in a pleasing manner, can spark a series of truly amazing images. I've participated in a few of these magical moments. Why not try for one or two more?
