Writer, Director and Cinematographer, Brian Lannin is a multifaceted filmmaker based in New York City. He has written and directed award-winning short films and acted as cinematographer for many more, most notably the new HBO show High Maintenance (dir. Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair) and the SXSW 2014 Grand Jury Prize Winner Fort Tilden (dir. Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers).

His last short film, And Winter Slow, won Best Short Film at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film Festival in March, 2012 and continues to screen at festivals around the world. His most recent directorial effort is the collective feature film, Black Dog, Red Dog, produced by James Franco, currently in post-production. His spec commercial Look Better won the student category of the 2014 AICP Show and is featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.

Brian was awarded the Arri Volker Bahnemann Award For Cinematography at NYU's graduate film department. He is also a Director of Photography in Local 600 - International Cinematographer's Guild.
