About Me

Carl U. Bowen, an Atlanta area native, has always had an eye for fashion, but did not know that Tailored Fashion was where God wanted him to be.
He is a 2005 graduate of Morehouse College (Psychology Major).  While at Morehouse, Carl enrolled in a number of fashion courses and learned to sew at Clark Atlanta University.  After his matriculation at Morehouse College, he spent two quarters at American InterContinental University and soon after apprenticed for a Master Tailor for six months.
Mr. Bowen is using his tailoring background to create the sartorial silhouettes that we all know and love.  These silhoettes along with his gifted presentation of fabrication and color schemes are what is known today as CRESCENDO Tailored Menswear.

"The center of God's will for my life", is where Mr. Bowen says that he is, and will continue to be.

Crescendo Tailored Menswear... My first collection was strongly inspired by the roots of tailoring. When tailoring first began, all dress shirts were tailored and only made in one arm length. In order to differentiate arm lengths on a dress shirt men had to wear garters. Men's arm garters were one of the focal points of my line as you can see. My first collection is an expression of the modernization of tailoring roots. This collection is composed of slacks, vests, ties, ascots, pocket squares and garters...velvets, corduroys, silks, satins, wools, cottons, brocades, leathers, and suedes... Along with tailoring I love working with various fabrics, colors and textures.
