About Me

***UPDATE: 11/15/19– I regret to inform I won’t be shooting for at least 8 weeks (11/4-1/4/20), possibly maybe 12 weeks (time may drag this break until 2/4/20).
In early November 2019, needed a few surgeries done on my dominant shooting arm and will be taking some time to heal. In the meantime (to keep myself from going insane), I’m going to put together some solo projects while off work and continuing to build upon what I’ve set forth going into 2020, finalize other sets to post here, and honestly— I can’t wait.
———————————————————————————————————— Hello all, my name is Michael Magro.
My background in photography extends from landscape, night/astro, urban/street, rural abandoned structures, architectural, lifestyle (camping, travel, off-roading), boudoir, nude/implied nude, tasteful erotica (body lines/shadow work), and *limited* fetish work (**not interested in making any type of pornographic material and/or insertions implied or otherwise).

For a long time I didn’t care to shoot any type of portraiture work.
Since taking on portraiture projects in 2016, I believe to have found my niche.
With 2020 around the bend I have a ton of ideas, concepts, looks, and landscapes I’d really like to bring into fruition with the help of one or numerous subjects in frame. This year is all about motion.

Sheer.
Fluid.
Motion.

In portraiture photography I prefer to visualize, harness what’s needed from within, externalize it, and capture. This process allows me to tap into other skill sets while creating fine art photos. I am also a writer, an illustrator, and a painter— as described above these skills allow me to create/collect a vision and express/execute through photography while creating fine art, sometimes conceptual photos of any given nature.

Here— I hope to network and further my endeavor in creating artful works while incorporating all elements of which I have listed above.
Together— I hope we can build a collective vision and make something beautiful, edgy, timeless, and a little out-there.
Ultimately— I will continue to develop as an artist and wish the same for anyone reading this as well.

Furthermore, as much as I do love choreographing the entire set beforehand and throughout it’s entirety— I’m lax, keep things light, and easy going.

If you require an escort upon new projects that’s never a problem, but they’re your responsibility and not at all mine.

If we work together:
• I never mind traveling, unless I have booked a location. Otherwise, will almost always travel.
• All sexes, sizes, and races welcome.
• I work with ambient light and natural light. Not all about flashes and studio lights (not against them) I prefer the rawness and the hunt for great light. It’s just one of those things.
• Also, A bit Old Fashioned. I try to process and edit as little as possible with the amount time and thought put into programming the machines for the desired aesthetic and overall location setting before the shoot begins. I do edit, just enough.

Any and all further info can be garnered upon request.

Please contact if you’d be interested in working together by email:

Thank you,
Michael
