As a child, my mom would always find me looking through our old family photos; flipping through the pages and admiring the stories they told of moments in my life, and moments long before I was born. I was looking at someone else's memories. Depictions of things I could not possibly know, had it not been for the presence of a person with a camera. Seeing my obvious interest, my mom gifted me a simple point-and-shoot camera when I was 8 years old. I was immediately hooked. I took thousands of pictures, naturally learning and improving my technique. Then my family members all pitched in and gave me a DSLR when I was a teenager. I haven't looked back since! I am incredibly passionate about photography, and aspire to be a wedding and engagement photographer full-time. In order to do that, I need to build up my portfolio.
