Hey, I'm Khaled Fouad, a portrait and travel photographer based in Los Angeles, California. Photography is my calling, my profession, and the thing that will undoubtedly drive me insane someday in the future. I don't just photograph subjects, I photograph the way I feel. I just love the magic of photography and how a photograph can trigger our emotions. It really amazes me how one can tell a lot about a place or person's personality by just looking at a photograph.

I was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, to a half German father and an American mother. I was lucky enough to pick up my dads old Yashica FX-D 35mm Film camera (which I still own and use) and develop a love for photography. I can proudly say that I am of the the last generation that will ever know how to load 35mm film in a camera or have the patience to wait for a Kodak kiosk to process the negative. After graduating High-school I moved to California to pursue my passion for photography and interior Architecture at Santa Monica College in Los Angeles.

I enjoy traveling, shooting nature and spending long hours in the darkroom developing and printing. Black and white film photography highly influenced my style in digital photography. In film photography perfection isn't an option, so I wrestle with every photograph I take and try squeezing out the best I got. If that's all you'll ever know about me, it's enough to say you know me very, very well.
