Hello everyone,
My name is Salim Smith and I'm new to the community. Actually, I'm pretty new to shooting models in general but have been preparing to do so for some time now. But before I get into what my goals are, I'll tell you a little about myself. I'm originally from Irvington, NJ but have been in Houston for the past 5 years working for United Airlines. I love to travel and see the world because it allows me to broaden my perspective on life and people in general. Photography has been my part-time love affair for as long as I can remember so you can imagine my desire to integrate it into my travels at some point in the future. I'm here primarily to kick start my activity in portrait and fashion photography. However, I am always open to trying new things when it comes to being creative in order to learn. My style is not fully developed yet but my intention is to be creative with artificial lighting methods to have more control in any condition whether indoor or outdoor. That is not to say I will not use natural light, however. I just like to have the option to produce quality images either way. Ultimately, my goal here is to connect with models and photographers in order to learn what I can, teach what I can, and build relationships moving forward in the next stage of this love affair with photography I've had for so long.
