On December 6, 1992, Grammy Award winner, and an entrepreneur both gave birth to Afrika (Also known as, Maddie The Baddie).

Her entire life she has been surrounded by the entertainment industry. Maddie's talents vary from vocalist to brand ambassador all the way to talk show host and so much more.

Maddie came from a strong background of musicians which is why it is no surprise that she was heavily involved in music. All through high school she chased her dream of becoming a national recording artist. With the support of her "momager", in 2008, she was the youngest of a 3 female contempoary singing group. The group did well and eventually started making a decent income from shows and events. Due to the conflict in age difference the group later came to an end after 2 amazing years. Although Maddie put her musical dreams on hold, she still continues to do features and collaborations with other artist.

In 2009 Maddie was a teen talk show host for 'Straight to the Point' radio show. She worked there for a year until the show was eventually canceled off air.

Young Maddie entered the adult entertainment industry at the tender age of 19. This industry has afforded her the privilege of working in various cities across the US such as Houston, Atlanta, San Fransisco, New Orleans, Boston, and Miami (Just to name a few).

Later on, Maddie decided to expand her trades when she was asked to star in a music video for a local artist. Since then she has grown a passion for video modeling and has starred in several music videos, with the most popular video reaching over 3 million views. Maddie's experience in film doesn't just stop at video vixen. She has also done background/extra work for companies such as Apple and NCIS New Orleans.

For the last 4 years Maddie has been enjoying her career as a freelance model. She has a huge passion for acting and absolutely loves being in front of the camera. Most of her recent projects include fashion, swimwear, lingerie and implied nude but she also enjoys unique creative projects such as bodypaint. Maddie has worked with both well known & upcoming photographers such as Jeff Binion, Alcolestudios, 2kfilms, and DellShotMe.

Maddie The Baddie is currently a brand ambassador for Hangar1, Smirnoff Vodka and WOM Staffing.

The list doesn’t stop there. In addition to wearing several hats, Maddie is also the owner of her very own women’s fitness awareness brand called BaddBarb. She uses this brand to spread the word about fitness through her active events. The brand also sells high fashion fitness wear and accessories.

When not working she prefers to spend time with family, travel, work out, go shopping, meditate, play in makeup, cook, or write/listen to music.

Maddie is most recognized for her slender yet curvy frame & her silky chocolate brown complexion. Standing 5'7" ft tall Maddie's style is unpredictable. "I love trying risky things when it comes to fashion", she stated.

In the future Maddie is looking forward to entering the reality tv industry.
