About Me

I am a natural light photographer with six years experience. I’ve done mostly cosplay photography, with occasional alternative projects along the way. I decided in the summer of 2019 to start focusing on my own creative visions, heading in the direction of Fine Art and Conceptual Photography. Since then I have been looking for primarily alternative models who feel they can relate to, and connect with my ideas to help bring them to life. Many of my ideas to put things shortly, are witchy, often based in nature and are inspired by mental illness, which I feel many can relate to and connect with. While I primarily look for alternative models, I am not at all opposed to working with models who do not fit the alternative look. I just want to work with creative people who wish to create images that explore the pain, passion, and heart of the individuals.

It's important for me to note that I am not in a financial position to pay models, as much as I would love to be able to support fellow artists and creators (due to disability and photography NOT being a paying job unless you photograph weddings and other "normal" subjects, which I clearly don't lol). This being said, I can only offer that we share the images we create together, we can both build our portfolios. I do photography for many reasons, both creative and personal, it really is for me to create art. If you would like to be part of that, lets work together! I've got many, many ideas and projects I've been sitting on for a while.

The link to my Instagram is my new one, made just for my non cosplay work. If you'd like to see more than what is here, check out my cosplay photography on Instagram under the name @thenerdymonkey. Many cosplayers I have worked with are open to being contacted for reference, so don't hesitate to reach out to someone. Your safety matters.

3/15 - I have received my first dose of the vaccine.

Due to COVID-19, things have been at a stand still. I am willing to do photoshoots so long as we keep our distance and use common sense :)
This would include myself wearing a mask 100% of the time, we wouldn't shake hands and I wouldn't be able to show you the camera for sneak peaks, which is something I love doing, but in order to maintain some distance, it's for the best.

Before the pandemic, traveling around New York and other areas of the Northeast was not an issue. Until things safely resume some normalcy, I won't be able to travel outside of the Capital Region much.

NOTE: I have no interest in working with self centered people who feel the need to tell me how to do my job. Mutual respect of each other, our boundaries, creativity and time are all necessary. I also absolutely refuse to work with anyone who in short, is a bigot. There is no place in this world, or any world for bigotry.

Thank you for having an interest in my work, but I don't wish to do virtual photoshoots. While I am impressed by creatives finding new ways to continue to create even while in quarantine, it's just not for me personally.

If I've sent you more than one friend request, I am sorry. While searching for potential people to work with, I don't always remember who I have sent requests to before.

DEAR RETOUCHERS: Thank you for your interest/offer, but I DO NOT need your services. My images are created by me from start to finish. Please do not message me about retouching, and please do not harass me with messages and friend requests, it's not only rude, it's unprofessional.
