I sponsor "Art Night" in the conference room of the local coffee shop "The Dovetail" in Warren Michigan. We use live models and any type of art is OK. Artists vary from professionals to students to hobbyists.

This is "Not for Profit". I have been doing an art class for "assisted living" facilities for two years and any proceeds will help offset those expenses. I am planning to have a fund raiser in the future for Alzheimer Research in Southfield. Maybe an art auction, etc.

When it comes to art, I enjoy creating nearly as much as I enjoy seeing what others create. The image on the canvas, and the latent photo image is nothing until someone sees it and experiences it visually and vicariously. That's art!

Photography makes me see the beauty in life. Taking a photograph requires attention to detail; framing, focusing, lighting, color, and contrast. Much more than "point and shoot". One well thought out photograph is worth more than 100 rapid fire shots. Only one photograph will make the beholder say "WOW!" 100 so-so will make him yawn.

I specialize in acrylic paintings, but work in other medium. Painting and photography have been a passion for many years. I have a treasure chest of photographs in 35mm, and more recently in digital format. Travels to the near and far East provided artistic and photographic opportunities. Now the US and Canada provide ample subjects for photography and painting. Art is exploring tips and techniques and leaving a legacy for future artists.

My 'other career' is an Energy Efficiency Assessment Specialist, and Installation Planning Engineer for IBM, Specializing in assessments and consulting contracts for energy efficiency, physical security, and data center design, and also planning for large system installations, planning for the electrical consumption, heat loads, cooling requirements, data cabling, and space requirements of computer equipment.
