Born Marta Bonura in Palermo (Italy), art name Petit Chéri, I grew up fascinated by the Golden Age of Cinema, pin-up imagery, erotic foreign literature and vintage lingerie. Over the years I have turned into a glamour girl like those I admired, especially my idol and source of inspiration Gypsy Rose Lee. Being on the Vaudevillian scene and performing striptease since 2009, I am now a successful burlesque performer, well known both in the Italian and international market for my elegance and sophistication. Able to lead the audience by the hand, thanks to my art, through an extraordinary journey into fantasy, viewers can only wonder if they actually are seeing a striptease or a dream. I am renowned for my rich sets and dazzling haute-couture performance costumes adorned with a cascade of pearls and thousands Swarovski crystals. I collaborated with the hot couture brand Baci di Gala for the creation of its gorgeous costumes lovingly cared for. In addition to the Burlesque shows, I have always conceived the design of the costumes by myself: what gives all items a strong imprint of originality and charm. I am an actress and a fashion designer myself: my make-up is flawless, porcelain skin, a perfectly coiffed chignon, as well as a tailleur and dresses wrapping around my silhouette, just like a perfect pin-up of the 50s. Yet, my strong will clearly helps people to understand who I am, an undisputed queen of the art of burlesque. Not really a "prissy" but a kind of self-made woman who has begun to make a stripper job when she was only 19 years old, completely inventing her own character, her corset and high heels which have made her so famous.
The name Petit Chéri comes from the small and sinuous shapes of my body. I am also called the "Pocket Venus" of Burlesque, I am currently following courses in acting, dance, singing and Make-up in my hometown and in Rome. I won the title of Miss Pin-up in 2016 for the first edition of the "Bologna Day Burlesque".
