I love creating. I am a professional musician, a dancer, a yoga teacher, an artist and a world traveler.

Sometimes I have all my body hair grown, sometimes not.

A lot of people ask me so I'm going to mention it here my heritage is half Algerian half French Canadian. That's what makes my olive skin tone, my brown eyes and my curly dark brown hair.

CANCELLATION POLICY
I am a traveling model and I do drive a lot of miles to get from a shoot to another. For this reason I wish I didn't have to say this but after many cancelation I started a cancelation fee policy.
If you cancel the shoot within 2 weeks I need the full rate
If you cancel the shoot anytime before 2 weeks I need half of the rate

DEPOSIT
Also, I really appreciate when I can get a deposit when we book a shoot. Usually I ask for half of the total pay for the shoot. I hope you understand my situation, I am traveling a lot and scheduling a lot and having a deposit really lifts a weight off my shoulders.

Thank you for understanding. This is my time and energy. I do a really good job and everyone I've worked with wants to work again with me. I just need to be honest with you and make sure I am respected.

ON LOCATION SHOOTS
When we shoot on location, the shoot starts at the time that we meet up because I arrive ready. Most of the time I'll be there 10 to 30 minutes early to make sure I am ready and at the right place.
If you need more walking, hiking or driving time before we start the shoot, this needs to be discussed ahead of time, because it is still my time and energy involved.

TRAVEL
I am willing to travel anywhere in the world as long as I am compensated for my time. If you would like to work with me let me know and I can see if there's other shoots I can book around your area and make it a trip. I need at least 3-4 shoots to make a trip worth it. Unless you book me for a full day shoot and pay for travel expenses.

STYLES of photography
I like doing a lot of different styles, from fashion to artistic nudes, lingerie, streetwear, casual, underwater, on location, etc. I wanted to say that I am not doing erotic (open legs) shoots. It really is important for me to create art that I feel comfortable and good about and I have learned through the years that I feel better leaving erotic photography to others who feel more called than I do.

Read the interview I did a few years ago for Model Mayhem:

Where are you from? Where are you based now and do you travel for shoots?

I am from Montreal, Canada. I am based in New Orleans* now and I do travel for shoots. I like to do tours and sometimes I get flown out to different places for specific shoots.

Who or what inspired you to become a model?

I always had a dream to be a muse. Since I was a child, I was a romantic and passionate artist. I had an ideal of being a muse for an artist, have them paint and be inspired by my essence. There was a moment in my life, a few years ago, when I decided I wanted to do everything I always dreamed of, in other words, I started to check my bucket list. Being a model was part of it. I also realized that in our modern times it would be more practical to be a muse for artists and also for photographers.

How and when did you start modelling?

I started modelling by answering a craigslist add. A photographer was looking for a model. I went to his house and did a first shoot with him. It felt so good. I came back for a few more shoots in the following weeks. Then I had photos for my portfolio. Meanwhile, I made a Model Mayhem account and I was able to reach out to many photographers in Montreal. I also always got paid for my modelling. That felt really good because at the time I was a student and my rent was expensive. I was also doing programs for self-growth and those were expensive as well.

What type of modelling do you enjoy the most?

It is hard to say. I could say when it feels really creative and the photographer and I form a team. For exemple, I love doing nude art modelling. I love it most outdoors in the sun, on the beach, in the forest or in abandoned buildings. I love it when the photographer trusts me to create beautiful poses and lets me express myself fully. I also love the co-creation of suggestions for locations and poses. I feel really inspired and nourished when I get to do shoots like that.
I also really like using props like bracelets and jewelry and fabric and create painting resembling photographs. And those shoots can be indoors or outdoors.

What do you look for when deciding to work with a photographer?

When deciding to work with a photographer, I always verify that they are genuine and that they are interested in creating art with me and that they will pay me for my work. That is the first thing, I like to look at references, I like to make every detail as clear as possible and make sure that we are on the same page and there are no surprises comes the time of the shoot. I also like to look for photographers that have a style I like and I think it’ll add something to my portfolio. I also prefer it when they are passionate and they want to create something unique with me. I love when they like my natural style with unshaven body hair, that is something important for me. I don’t want to alter my already perfect body just to please someone’s sense of aesthetic. I believe in staying true to myself.


Which models or other artists currently inspire you?

I have always been inspired by painters like Rembrandt, Klimt, Vermeer, Degas and more. I am also always looking for poses that are inspiring and then I reproduce them and make them work for my body and my style. I don’t really have specific people in mind. Although I can say I definitely love what Christelle does. She is a great friend and a great inspiration.


What would be your dream shoot?

I think I already had a lot of my dream shoots realized, especially on the beach and in abandoned places. I would really like to do be dressed up as a fairy and get photographed in the forest, that is one of them ideas that I haven’t done yet.

How important is social media in your success?

Well, for the first year of modeling, I didn’t really want to have an Instagram but then I got one and I think it helped me to have a larger portfolio to show photographers and also to connect with some photographers that don’t use Model Mayhem.
But my success is due to my diligence in finding contracts on Model Mayhem, more than from my social media pages.

What else do you like to do outside of modelling?

I love playing music, that is my first career, pianist, keyboardist, accordionist, music teacher, composer, etc. I also love dancing, doing yoga, any mouvement practice. I’m also really connected to the earth and I like growing my own food, harvesting fruits and veggies. I like promoting a healthy lifestyle and helping individuals get healthy.

What’s the best career advice you can give to new models?

The best career advice would be to make sure you are always paid if you do art nude. If you want this to be a career where you make money, it has to be clear for you that you are getting paid from the get go. The other thing would be, don’t change your body to please photographers, only do it for yourself. There will always be photographers who like it with hair or without hair. Don’t get discouraged by the comments about what someone thinks art is and how they think a model should look like. You are already perfect the way you are.
