About Me

10/24/20

I haven’t changed my profile in a while and was waiting until things settled down, but who knows when that will happen. So, this is Ed’s overly optimistic, hopefully but not really, post Covid but pre-election political apocalypse temporary until things get normal again (I refuse to acknowledge this is the new normal) profile for now.

Photography is my side gig, mostly stock work and some gallery group shows with a sprinkling of publications. I’m old school so publication to me means print work. Covid hit galleries and a lot of the gig life people I worked with hard, so I put my energy into other things for a while. Now it’s time to get back to work.

I’m a big believer in creative energy and expression. A model I’ve worked with pretty regularly recently gave me a huge compliment and called my work style conversational. Since my shoot time is limited these days I’m looking to do work which embraces that creative conversation more fully. Conceptual and editorial, natural and low key lighting, retro, dark, gothic, ethereal, scifi and fantasy themed are all things that interest me.

That doesn’t mean fashion shoots aren’t a thing for me. Fashion can very much be a form of expression... a good editorial fashion shoot can be like a dance. And right now I have a lot of wardrobe I’m cleaning out from shoots that got crushed by Covid. I’d like to trade outfits for shoot time and see them go to good homes. They're mostly well constructed designer dresses in natural fibers. Lots of silk, some linen, wool, cotton, and cashmere… and the occasional poly or rayon piece if it’s cool enough. Mostly sizes 0 to 8 but some 10,12 and 14.

Oh yeah, I'm very cool with shooting nudes if they are expressive, artistic or conceptual, but I'm not a fan of what I call commercial nudes. That doesn’t include glossy retro pinups and the likes. Garage calendar art is a thing.

Sorry, not sorry, for getting epic TLDR here. Communication and chemistry are pretty big things for me. So, any questions feel free to reach out.

Be swell all.

Ed
