About Me

I am a passionate people photographer. I am a part time photographer and consider myself as an enthusiast. I started photography about 30 years ago when I took pictures during my travels. Later I took pictures at punk rock shows of the bands I liked. I learned the craft with a Minolta SRT 101 - the analogue camera of my parents with which I had to set everything manually- from focus to aperture to shutter speed. Today I work with a fujifilm xt-3 but I still got one of these old SLRs. I love the way it's limitations influences my work. It slows me down forces me to see before I shoot.Taking pictures is a meditative state of mind: I'm completely in the here and now and focus only on the picture that is going to happen.

I like to communicate my ideas and what I have in mind pre shoot clearly. During the shooting I love to be spontaneous to experiment and improvise. During the shooting I am also rather quiet. I give very little directions or feedback. I trust in the creative process and want to create a flow in which the model feel free to express herself i unexpected ways.

Taking pictures is a meditative state of mind: I'm completely in the here and now and focus only on the picture that is going to happen.

My focus is on portraits and lifestyle. I prefer to do natural looking streetstyle shots.
I love to shoot outdoors with available light.
