About Me

I am a physicist, 78 years of age and have been photographing for 60 years beginning with a Kodak Retina. In 1980 I had a Pentax K1000 with an f/1.4 lens specializing in live dance photography. In 2000 I went digital with an Agfa point and shoot and in 2005 purchased a Canon Rebel to take photos for my model railroad business.
In 2009 I got serious and took community college classes in photograhy and Photoshop. I joined the Channel City Camera Club in Santa Barbara then also. CCCameraClub.com. I have been equipment director and president of that club. I have taken a number PSA classes and attended the Albuquerque convention and am currently the PSA club representative.. My current specialty is birds in flight. I have also taken people photos as shown in my sample photos and wish to do more of that. My action photography experience and interest leads me to more people action photos. As most of my friends are my age and they are great models for aged character shots. But I consider MM a good source of younger models for action photos as well as for stills.

My primary interest is self satisfaction and juried exhibitions at the Channel City Camera Club and with the PSA.

My friend David Handcock is a member of MM and recommended it in a recent presentation he made at our club.
