My name is Xochi Davila, and I am applying to the Assistant Manager and Makeup Advisor positions to further my skills as a leader, teacher, and makeup artist.

I began my freelance makeup company Spectrumakeup in 2014 but have worked in salons as their primary Makeup Artist from 2012-2014. I have applied makeup, both glamour and special effects, for many wedding parties, galas, proms, etc. The goal of my profession is to enhance the natural beauty of my clients and to teach them skincare and makeup tips. I want my clients to feel empowered, strong, beautiful and for them to feel and look their best. From teaching to makeup application I crave to learn more, and to use that experience to grow.

I have two cumulative years of manager experience from Spro Coffee and Salon Craft where I managed inventory, organized staff schedules, overlooked a few wholesale opportunities, organized events, managed social media, spearheaded a Farmer’s Market, and implemented ideas in the shop to boost sales and productivity.


I pride myself in my artwork and creativity, ability to create and maintain professional relationships, and passion for the Baltimore art community. My experiences up to this point in my life have also led me to start a non-profit which showcases art based on contributions from the Baltimore community and its marginalized artists. The proceeds will be contributed towards organizations that aide and protect human rights.
