Variant started out in the small state of Vermont about 5 years ago with just a Nikon Point-And-Shoot camera, an old Fuji Film Camera, and a rickety old Polaroid camera that developed the images as soon as you shot the frame. Although film will always be near and dear to my heart, my husband and i now primarily use digital formatting. Our traveling studio Started out simply as a Girlfriend and Boyfriend Photography duo that enjoyed snapping photos of each other. Now, this coming October 2018, we will officially be wed after 7 wonderful, crazy, creative years together and we look forward to so many more creative years to come..

Since starting Variant Promotions and Variant Studio, we have changed our studio location a few times to accommodate with our hectic schedule and lives, but we have been able to Travel to many places for creative photography and modeling services in the last few years since our conception. Some of the places that we have been fortunate enough to travel to are places such as VT, NH, ME, PA, MA, DE, DC, MD, VA, WV, OH, and MI to name a few. We started this adventure with just a passion for the arts a desire to see the vibrancy of life and to create and express with everything that we are. Whether that be expressing ourselves with a few strokes of a paint brush on a canvas with oil paints, dancing as if everyone is watching ;), creating ear splitting licks on your guitar, screaming your soul out into a microphone, or the special moments in time that we forever capture with our lens. We want to capture a slice of it all.

About our style of Imagery:
We always aim to set our settings according to the light. I am a big fan of natural light and not so much a fan of over photo shopping to compensate for lack of setting settings. So, we really only do basic retouching or basic editing unless otherwise requested; or if it is part of a series or theme that we may have going on. We aim to capture the natural beauty, the emotions, and the chaos of everyone we photo shoot with.

Mission Not Improbable:
It is our Mission to Photograph everyone we meet, to photograph all the people we know, and to photograph some of the people that may not even know of us. Our Mission also includes maintaining a Professional working relationship with other Models, Photographers, Artist's and Business professionals in the industry while adding to our portfolio's and creating one-of-a-kind, long lasting memories in the process. It has also been our long time goal to help the models we work with achieve their desired photographic results, achieve their creative potential while meeting new people, while building upon our skills, and having fun in the process.

We have recently moved back to Vermont from Inwood, West Virginia and are always looking to create and collaborate. We are currently only accepting paid work, but will consider TFP for the right opportunities, projects, or collaborations if all parties should benefit. We are not looking to travel long distances for unpaid work/ assignments. We are available in the 802, Northern, Central, Southern VT areas as well as New England and parts of the East Coast with some advanced notice. Lets shoot!
