About Me

I enjoy and deeply appreciate collaborating with models on a few unique fine art series I have been developing over the past few years:

"Tattooed Bodies," blending a photo of the model interacting with her tattoo . .

"Transferred Bodies" transferring a photo of the model onto her skin, like a fine art temporary tattoo that can be removed with rubbing alcohol . .

"Painted Bodies," painting a model's body, transferring that paint to white paper, and merging photos of the model with the painted imprints of the body . .

"Abstracted Bodies," blending a photo of the model (as if she is falling or floating) with my abstract photography.

*In general, I am only "friends" with models with whom I have collaborated.

* * I have not cultivated a presence on social media, yet, as it generally leaves me feeling icky and wanting more of what (a) I don't have and (b) am not; I am in the process of updating my Instagram with my new fine art figure series.

Bio:
After teaching high school in the Czech Republic, I enrolled in the Rocky Mountain School of Photography Summer Intensive Program in Montana . . and have pursued my love of photography while being a safari guide in Kenya, teaching middle school in Sweden, taking care of a relative with Alzheimer’s, teaching in Berkeley, and working happily at Trader Joe's.  Now based in Atlanta, I was a full-time fine art photographer in the San Francisco Bay Area (I moved back to Atlanta during the pandemic) where I exhibited at galleries such as:

Zara: "My time in San Francisco was incredible and it all started with Scott's kindness.  The first day he managed to make us feel welcomed (with little care-packages?!) and trusted. Staying with and around him is incredibly easy and comfortable. Our last day it felt like we had already lived together for longer. I feel incredibly lucky that Scott chose to share his kindness with us.”

Anne: “Scott made my stay enjoyable. When I arrived at his place, he had prepared for me a welcoming pack including snacks, a transportation card, maps and info on the city and its touristic activities. Easygoing, fun and flexible he proved to be a great host! I can only recommend him as a host.”

Charlie: “Scott was an amazing host! He was busy with his mobile art gallery but was great with communication and made my arrival very smooth. I love his artwork and even got to go on a little urban exploring as well as had some great conversations and had some great tips. Scott is kind, generous and talented if you get the chance to stay with him you should!”
