My name is Muhammad Syahmi (born 1992) & I am a self-taught photographer located in Singapore that focuses on landscapes, lifestyle, outdoor and street photography. For the last two years, I had traveled shooting stills and nature. I also find the time to work on personal projects & fine art and I like to describe my style as artistic, love to play around with light, softness, colors, and textures. I strive to make my subjects stand out in an image, making sure the background never overpowers the focal point of the picture.

I love experimenting with different styles & techniques and now as a developed photographer, I provide professional services like wedding photography, engagement, family, model portfolio and event coverage. Since my teenage days, I was drawn to photography & videography but couldn't afford a professional camera.

I am very friendly and sociable, I try to make my clients feel comfortable and have a lot of fun at the shoot. I am truly fortunate to do what I do. I get to be part of a person’s special day or celebration, get to know their family and most of all, capture those precious moments for them! That’s what it’s all about to me, capturing the emotion, character, and surreal beauty in people that will last a lifetime.

I started to shoot with the Canon 7D Mark 2 and the Canon 70D. For my landscapes, I mainly use the Canon 17-55 F2.8. I loved the idea of having a light camera that you can travel with and that has a better dynamic range. I shoot mostly sunsets and do a lot of hiking, so having to carry light gear was essential. For me, landscapes and photography are parallel beings. My fascination with the creation of this world keeps striving for perfection which is mirrored in my own perfectionist approach, as well as in the attention to detail in my photography.
