Art model and philosophic poet interested in alternative modeling and fashion, I am Laurel Adams, a Los Angeles native pursuing modeling in the Bay Area in California.

I hope to collaborate with photographers, makeup artists, models, and other creatives to develop my modeling future. I have experience in print, runway, and figure modeling.

Bursting with artistic concepts that stem from the poetry and philosophy I write, I am interested in high art beauty modeling that is meaningful, unparalleled, and full of symbolism. For example, smiling in a photo despite the intensity and terrifying nature of life as a human is symbolism for joy in my view.

My model idols and inspirations are Marilyn Monroe, Donyale Luna, Diana Ross, and Tyra Banks. I love provocative shoots laden with mystery, femininity, and wild freedom. Gothic, Christian, astrology, vampiric, moonlit, and outdoor themes I find dazzling.

I am a petite feminine woman standing at 5’4 with long legs and deep skin. Ethnically, I consider myself black, meaning unknown. I’m often told that I appear to be of either Ethiopian or Nigerian descent by people from those magical countries. To my knowledge, my ancestry stems back to Los Angeles and Texas for over 100 years. Whatever bloodline I come from, I’m proud to be exotic and exactly who I am.

Modeling is important to me because I believe human life deserves to captured and expressed. Girls all over the world who look similar to me are underrepresented as beautiful though there is no reason for this to remain the same. I believe the time is now for me to capture the essence of my looks while I am young and onward as my life continues and I am blessed with age and maturity.
