I’m a Ukrainian visual artist, currently living and working in the US.

The focus of my work is the relationship between myth and reality, and the malleability of historical narratives. It is informed by growing up in the era of decommunization, historical negationism and hybrid wars in post-communist Europe and Caucasia.

At the center of my current research is the ambiguous relationship between photography and truth in the time, where, in the words of Kurt Andersen, “every individual is gloriously free to construct any version of reality he devoutly believes to be true."

I'm currently finishing a photobook project about mythical animals and their representation in popular culture and imagination. I'm looking for models to make a few final images of the project.
