I am an actress in Grand Rapids Michigan. I enjoy being in front of a camera very much and I love to keep busy in that spot! Acting is wonderful but there are only so many roles for women my age that don't involve kissing. I had my first 'non headshot' photoshoot, that wasn't tied to filming, last month, AND I LOVED IT.
I loved that modeling and acting are so similar, I loved the extra challenge of trying to get a feeling across without the option of using words or motion. I mean seriously! That was so cool. I loved that I could tell when a certain snap would end up looking good based on how I felt the second it was taken. It was more of myself than I'd gotten to know through acting, which showed me a lot. It's amazing to collaborate with the director/photographer and to figure out together what words will get his vision to me and my emotion to the camera.
Outside of that, I am addicted to learning, full fledged, card carrying, nerd. I'm into "hippydippy" stuff, wacky ideas, health, sewing, cooking... I feel like I'm missing something in this list. Really makes you realize how uninteresting you are when you have to write a bio!!!
I'd like to be in this community because the creatives are some of the nicest and funniest people I've met and I want to work more with them. I'd like to build a portfolio and help others build theirs. So, cheers! Here's to the possibilities!
