Hello, there!

I'm Claire! I'm a freelance photographer based in Madison, WI. I specialize in creative portraits (seniors, families, kids, couples), weddings and lifestyle photography. I love capturing the special moments in people's lives and truly believe that the stolen glances and goofy expressions that occur when people aren't focused on the camera result in the best pictures. I believe taking photos should be a FUN experience! I love getting to know the people I photograph and going on adventures with them; whether that be hiking out to picnic point, following you and your little ones along as you pick out your Christmas tree, photographing an intimate ceremony in the woods or spending a lazy Sunday morning at home with you and your family.

I have loved taking pictures as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until I went backpacking in Southeast Asia about 7 years ago that I started pursuing it more intentionally. I became inspired to capture my experiences in an authentic, genuine way. As soon as I got back, I began photographing friends and family, and it grew organically from there. When I'm not taking photos you can find me creating art, reading memoirs, or traveling to some of the farthest flung places in the world...usually all with a fancy coffee in hand! : )
