I am a 31-year-old non-professional yet highly passionate, mostly self-taught, and sometimes enormously ambitious artist and aspiring novelist based in Snohomish, Washington. HOW LONG HAVE I BEEN DRAWING? I have been drawing my whole life, but have only focused on the figure for three years. WHAT ARE MY WORKING METHODS? I create graphite pencil/charcoal drawings of the female form and occasionally write poetry that comes to me as I draw. I work primarily from photo references, though I absolutely love collaborating with models whenever I can (it's way more fun, and models always have great stories). One day I'd love to have a three-part collaboration between myself, a photographer and a model: three art forms joining forces to make something incredible. WHAT ARE MY ARTISTIC GOALS? My goal with my art is very simple: I seek to create beauty out of beauty. To me, there is nothing on this earth more beautiful, more lovely or more artistically inspiring than a woman, and I want to make art that communicates how much I love, cherish and adore women in all their mystery, glory and wonder (normally I'd express it in words, but, as I learned a long time ago, art expresses what words can't). WHAT ELSE DO I HAVE TO SAY? That about sums it up. To all my fellow artists in the meantime, keep learning, keep creating, keep loving and keep making this world a better place with your creations. Add Credits"I had a blast posing for Quigley, his communication is incredible, he goes above and beyond to make the model comfortable. It was easy to sit back and hold a pose and just have an easy conversation while he sketched. I highly recommend posing for Quigley if you get the chance!" Read less
