Biography for Aki

AKi Hill has been in the beauty industry for over 26 years. An accomplished hair artist, Aki studied and trained at the world renowned Vidal Sassoon International. He began his career by traveling extensively in the U.S. working at trade shows and assisting established fashion photographers. Joining the ranks with leading New York modeling and talent agency “Nijah”, Aki quickly established himself as an innovative and knowledgeable designer. Specializing in the total makeover is his forte'. Aki has worked with Nicole Miller, Russell Simmons, Kerry Washington, Black Entertainment Television, Miss USA, NBC, Fox 5 and Bravo for the hit production, “Housewives of Atlanta”. Aki has worked for countless other projects for runway, theater, television and print. His work has been published on the cover of the New York Post, Inked Girls Magazine, and Southern Seasons.  He has served as the lead makeup artist for a 2006 ad campaign for a multimillion dollar salon, Charles Penzone Inc in Ohio. He is an educator for the state of Ohio teaching other professionals the latest trends and techniques of the industry. Aki has a passion for helping others. By teaming up with other local educators Aki established a series of classes to help improve self-esteem among teenage girls in the Ohio school system. Aki has won several awards for his talent in hair shows and competitions. Aki has the ultimate goal of owning and operating training institutes around the world in order to raise the bar in the hair industry.
