I was a starving artist in my youth after attending art school. I struggled for 7 years to do what I love best, but given that it was before the Internet and having very few options, I had to give it up and go back to school to become a programmer. But over the years, whenever I had the time, I always returned to my art.

I am finally retired and can now devote more time to painting and drawing. I know that my best works are yet ahead of me.

I enjoy the challenge of producing artworks in different mediums to keep it fresh. I paint in oils as well as watercolors and draw in pastels, charcoal, graphite and color pencils. I have always enjoyed experimenting with different techniques. Presently, I am exploring painting in the Flemish technique.

The web has opened up a whole new world where I can view all the marvelous art posted. We all have something in common in our desire to create and learn from one another. No matter how much you learn, there is always something new to discover. By becoming a member of the Model Mayhem community, I hope to be inspired to do better and to share my works with others. Regardless of nationality, art bonds us all together.
