Just when you think you're winning the rat race, along come the newer, faster, bio-engineered rats to put you back in your place...

I am newly relocated to Springfield and have begun shooting again.  Still kind of feeling my way about town, so please be patient.  Coping with dramatic changes has never been one of my more enviable traits… Please be patient.

Thank you for stopping by.  Gallery By Hal is my first & primary profile here on MM.  I’m a bit of an eclectic when it comes to shooting style, I’m afraid.  I cannot seem to make up my mind which I like best so I dabble and experiment freely.  Same goes for genre.  To date I’ve shot Casual Fashion, Glamour, Editorial, Art Nudes, Glamour Nudes some Pinup & quite a few Headshots. 

In the interest of full disclosure, I must also advise that I occasionally practice a bit of blatant digital manipulation from time to time.  No telling when the spirit of whimsy will move me and there’s nothing I can do about it.  Except pray for mercy.  You’ve been warned… 

We all have limits.  Mine are simple.  I insist on clear, concise communication with my models.  I answer any and all questions asked of me as fully and completely as I can.  I expect the same courtesy in return.  Anything less than clear & concise communication leads to drama I don’t need and won’t tolerate.

The Anonymous Nude, a Nude series dedicated to the mystique of anonymity;

Celebrate The Day, A 365 project with a twist.

Please be aware I do not have a studio nor do I employ studio lighting.  Each of my model shoots are conducted on location.  That location may be as public as a State Park or as private as your own home.  It all depends on concept, content being shot and your personal comfort zone.

I do not tolerate “high school drama” on my shoots.  I go into each and every session with the full expectation that I am working with adults fully capable of discussing any and all issues that may arise.  Name calling, threats of violence and similar nonsense will result in the session’s immediate termination and the deletion of all images captured to that point.  If necessary I will call the Police and press charges to the full extent allowable under the law.
