I was 11 years old when my father handed me his Minolta X700 with a 28-300MM lens and a bag of expiring TMAX400 film and he told me just to go and shoot whatever. I spent the next 2 days after that shooting all kinds of things. When I turned 15 I took some of that work and entered it into a contest and won a bucket of cash. I couldn't understand why though. No one saw what I saw in the pictures. They liked them but they didn't like them for the same reasons that I did.

My struggle ever since then is to inspire people with what I shoot. I know a lot of photographers want to tell a story with what they shoot. My problem is I keep trying to tell a story that no one can seem to read. I hope to one day find that story that everyone sees. Hopefully you all see it too.

My art is for me. I don't expect to sell my work. If someone offers, that's all fine and good but I don't promote myself for that. I don't charge sitting fees or anything like that. I also won't pay to shoot anyone. If you want me to shoot you, the only payment is that we both get rights to the sets. I just want someone to shoot that can help me get that one heart punch of a picture. I will shoot pretty much anything. My ideal model is one that has NO EXPERIENCE. I really like showing people how the rest of us see them for what they really are. Beautiful. Some people just don't know how beautiful they are.

The bulk of my experience comes from never leaving my camera at home. I have shot the occasional wedding, senior photos etc. But I love shooting true raw beauty. Whether it is in a breathtaking landscape or the eyes of someone that just wants to be seen for once. If you know someone like that send them my way. I don't charge for anything. Wanna shoot? Those are the terms.

I will NEVER pretend like I am an expert by any means. I struggle and learn about my craft every single day I try to capture that one moment that gives me goose bumps like anyone else. I feel like I am wildly experimental in what I do.
