I've shot film and digital and have worked with dozens of models throughout my time, mostly on the west coast. My interests lie in fashion, beauty, bodypaint, fine art nude, and anything that entices my attention and mood.

I enjoy shooting for the art of shooting because I enjoy collaboration and creating art with others. My gear costs a lot. My experience goes back at least 20+ years. I've shot studio and location, professionally and just for fun. I have a lot of lighting gear. That all said I generally structure exchanges as follows:

If I pay, all images are mine and you MAY not receive any for your portfolio. This is at my discretion.

If it is free or trade, you WILL receive images for your portfolio (the photographer always retains legal copyright in the USA as the creator of the images). I ALWAYS license my trade images to the models I work with to do as they please, including selling prints or selling access to prints via other websites. Usage of images by commercial means, such as in advertising and other commercial money-making pursuits that involves a third party should be something we both profit from and thus permission must be sought and compensation agreed upon in writing. The commercial use of prints goes both ways, ie I will not pursue third party money making ventures with your images without an updated model release and terms. This includes compensation for other ancillary professionals in the creative process including, but not limited to, makeup, hair, wardrobe, assistants and other professionals.

Again, this excludes selling prints via my personal website (or yours) - you may do this! Generally selling prints is not lucrative or sustainable for most people to make a living so I don't pinch pennies or keep track of my personal sales as it generally all goes back into maintaining my website.

My goal is fairness and respect for your ability without negating what I have to offer as a professional, experienced photographer with gear maintenance, props, etc, costs.
