I am a sketch artist based in the Los Angeles (LA) area in California. My work is largely in the classical realist genre, which is refers to the illustration and depiction of the model the way natural vision affords us to see her/him. In this sense, there is no room for interpretivism or abstraction. I gather much inspiration from the master painters and sculptors of the late Renaissance period in Europe, particularly from the British and French painters of the 17th and 18th centuries. My many travels across the U.S. and 38 other countries which I have visited or resided in over the years, gave me the breadth and depth of exposure to their masterpieces and lesser known works and continue to stimulate my curiosity and interest in classical sketching to this day .
