Hello, my name is April! I have 5 cRaZy kids, 1 weight challenged feline and a spazoid rabbit. Like many other great Makeup Artists, makeup has been a life long passion of mine. I love how a little bit of makeup can make a big change in a person's perception of themselves. What sets me apart, is my ability to create and use color. My greatest passion is taking inspiration from the world around us to conjure something unique and artistic. I thrive on having unforgettable adventures through my makeup applications.

Currently, I am a licensed Professional Makeup Artist from the QC Makeup Academy, where I am also taking additional classes to become specialized in both Airbrush and Special FX Makeup. My ultimate goal is to work in the Theatre and Film Industries.

My portfolio has grown exponentially in the last year. I have created looks for local Art Shows, Editorial Photo shoots, Theatrical productions, Art and Makeup Contests, TV Ads, and Runway shows. I showcase as much of my work that I can through my Social Media accounts and webpage.

In addition to formal classes, I also have 2 years of experience in the Retail Makeup Industry. This has given me an upper hand with the clients expectations of a makeup application and experience. It also taught me how to become quick and precise with my applications.

During my time in the retail industry, I did become certified in Benefit Brow Mapping and I received extensive training by numerous brand ambassadors. I learned all about the various brand product formulations, launches, product lines and sales strategies.

Currently, I am doing a second season of production makeup for the Akron University. Although I love working for them, I want the opportunity to spread my wings. I need a challenge and am ready for it!
